Information you provide

RanchBooks may process account information such as name, email address, phone number and authentication data; ranch profile information; and the operational records you choose to enter, upload or import, including livestock, land, breeding, equipment, crop, task, contact, invoice and accounting records.

How information is used

Information is used to provide and secure the RanchBooks service, authenticate users, maintain ranch records, support customer requests, operate subscriptions, protect signup forms from abuse, improve service reliability and meet legal obligations.

Service providers

RanchBooks uses service providers where needed to operate the product. Current architecture includes Microsoft Azure for application hosting and Stripe for subscription billing. Public signup may use an automated-abuse protection provider, and the public marketing website may use configured analytics.

Ranch records

RanchBooks does not make a customer's ranch records public merely because they are stored in the service. Access to ranch application data requires authenticated application access subject to the user's ranch and permissions.

Data portability

Ranch Owners can download a RanchBooks JSON export of supported operational records. Customers should keep copies of records they need to retain independently of the service.

Security

RanchBooks uses application and infrastructure safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access, including authenticated accounts, ranch-scoped access and storage outside the publicly served web root. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
